Welcome to Hope for Hounds Rescue (formerly Casa de Griffon)

At Hope for Hounds Rescue, every dog we save has a story—often marked by neglect or abandonment, but also by resilience. Our goal is simple: to give hounds and other vulnerable dogs a real chance at a better life. From rescue to recovery to rehoming, our work is hands-on, personal, and often hard-won.
The heart of the rescue is Tracey, who spent five years on the ground in northern Spain, building relationships, coordinating logistics, and navigating some of the toughest conditions to get dogs to safety. Thanks to her tireless efforts, more than 500 dogs have been rescued and rehomed across Spain and Europe.
Her approach—rooted in empathy, problem-solving, and persistence—continues to shape everything we do. Today, Hope for Hounds encompasses an extensive network of volunteers and partners in both Europe and Canada. With your support, we can reach more dogs, strengthen local networks, and keep fighting for those who can’t speak for themselves.

Our local partners in Spain are Rescates Garatuxa (veterinary- and rescue facility) and Rof Codina University Veterinary Hospital.
