Connor is part of the Three Amigos group, which was rescued from the pound in Lugo and transferred to Garaxtuxa for rescue and placement in foster care.

Sofia

Sofia

is a young shepherd cross, 2 years old (already sterilised). This beauty has a very good temperament, always cheerful and willing to run, play and work. Sofia is very obedient, affectionate, and very dog-friendly. Needs an active family, as she is pure energy.

Virutas

Virutas is the most cheerful puppy at the shelter. Virutas is a youngster under 1 year old and small-medium size (about 15 kg). This youngster is an antidepressant with hair – always eager to play, and receives you with a thousand hugs.

Virutas is very sociable with males and females and is already sterilised.

Peps & Pirata

Peps and Pirata
In March 2026 they will have been 3 years at Garatuxa. Peps and Pirata came in as puppies, but they grew up fast and stayed here, for reasons we do not know.

Happy and friendly, Peps and Pirata are almost always loose at the entrance of Rescates Garatuxa, since they live happily in a pack with other dogs.

These two brothers are medium-sized, Podenco style.

Bisbal

Bisbal and his brother Broncano are two 7-year-old, medium-sized dogs (like border collies).

They love each other very much, and we would like to proceed with a joint adoption. However, they are very sociable dogs with many friends here, so they could also be adopted separately.

These little brothers arrived here in such bad shape that we thought they were old; they had mange, they were skeletal, an atrocious fear… They looked at the wall, so they didn’t have to see us. But the months went by, vet treatments, delicious food, walks and lots of pampering and the couple blossomed… Today, they can’t be cuter.

Broncano and his brother, Bismal, are two 7-year-old medium-sized dogs (like border collies).
