Adopt a Spanish Rescue Dog in France
Thinking about rescuing?
Hope for Hounds Rescue helps abandoned and unwanted dogs from Spain find loving homes, including with adopters in France.
Our rescue work began in Galicia, northern Spain, as Casa de Griffon and has grown into an international network dedicated to giving Spanish hunting dogs a second chance.
Spanish rescue dogs for adoption in France
Spain and France may be neighbours, but thousands of dogs in Spain continue to need homes. We rescue dogs from pounds, abandonment and difficult circumstances and prepare them for the next stage of their lives.
Our dogs include Griffons, Beagles, Podencos and other Spanish hounds and crosses.
Adopting a Griffon from Spain
Griffons are at the heart of our history. Hope for Hounds Rescue began as Casa de Griffon after seeing first hand the situation facing these dogs in northern Spain. Griffons are intelligent, affectionate dogs with enormous character. Many adapt beautifully from their former lives into family homes. We also rescue Beagles, Podencos and other hounds who deserve exactly the same opportunity.
Bringing a Spanish rescue dog to France
International adoption requires careful preparation. Our team helps ensure dogs are appropriately prepared and have the necessary documentation before travelling to their new homes. We want every adoption to be a lasting one, so matching the right dog with the right family is an important part of our process.
Rescue dogs from Galicia
The dogs we help originate primarily from Spain, with our work rooted in Galicia. Our trusted network in Spain provides care and veterinary support while dogs wait to be adopted. Once a suitable home is found, we work towards getting that dog safely from Spain to its new family.
