FRIDAY FEATURE: “Two Amigos”
At Hope for Hounds Rescue, our mission is to give hounds that have been overlooked the chance to belong. Today, that mission is very tangible – it has two names: Valentin and Connor.
🐾 Valentin
- Breed: Short-haired hound mix
- Age: ~1½ years old
- Size: Medium/Large (about 35 kg)
- Personality: Calm, walks well on a lead, knows his name, gets on with other dogs, and has a truly sweet temper. Can be cat-tested.
- Health: Healthy, no known conditions.
Valentin came from a pound in northern Spain and has blossomed with care; now he just needs a home of his own. How can you say no to that face?

- Breed: Hound
- Age: ~3 years old
- Size: Medium/Large
- Personality: A gentle, steady presence with hound-typical curiosity and loyalty awaiting the right match.
Connor was also rescued from the same Spanish pound and is settling beautifully in at the rescue center. He is gaining confidence each day — but he still dreams of a family to call his own.

Both are young hounds with soft temperaments and a quiet way of being. Dogs that observe before they act, that offer trust carefully, and that fit easily into everyday life once given the chance. And still, they are waiting.
Valentin and Connor are not asking for much. A stable home. Time. Commitment. The ordinary things that mean everything to a rescue dog.
